The department is announcing a short course on “DATA PROCESSING AND ANALYSIS” that will be conducted on March 17 – 18, 2012. , Deadline for Payment is 15th March, 2012 Objective of the training The objective of the training is to introduce junior researchers to different statistical techniques applied during data processing and analysis and hence practical interpretation of the result. Course Description This short course training deals with processing and analysis of raw data collected from the field, being it primary or secondary. The training enables trainees to know key issues that should be considered when plan for data processing and analysis. It provides better insight into feasibility of the analysis to be performed as well as resources required. The training will cover Data entry, Validation, Exploratory data analysis, Cross tabulation, Transformation, Transfer data, Preliminary part of Data Analysis for both Quantitative and Qualitative data. Data sheet that will be used is Cspro while analysis will be performed using SPSS/STATA. Intended Participants: Junior researchers. University of Dodoma (UDOM) students or other higher learning institution students are highly encouraged to participate in the training. All participants are highly encouraged to come with their laptops. There will be free installation of statistical packages that will be used. Also certificate of attendance will be offered.
